Acceptance
These terms govern legitverif.com and every page, form, feed and mailing list operated under the name LegitVerif (together, the Service). Loading any page accepts them in full. A user who does not accept should leave. The version published at the moment of access binds, and this edition is current for 2026.
What the Service is
LegitVerif is an independent publication covering online financial fraud: fake brokers, imitation crypto exchanges, counterfeit trading applications and bogus investment groups run through messaging platforms. It publishes reviews, investigations and warnings so readers can decide with better information.
- It is not a broker, exchange, bank, payment institution or investment firm.
- It is not a law firm and does not act for any user.
- It never holds, transfers, manages or takes custody of client money or assets.
- It is not a regulator and cannot sanction, license or delist any operator.
- It sells no financial products and takes no position on whether a user should transact with anyone.
Opinion and public sources
Published entries combine reported fact with the honest opinion of the editorial team, formed at the time of writing on the material then available. Sources include regulator registers and warning lists, court and company filings, archived operator websites, application store listings, published statements, and accounts sent in by readers.
Where an entry states that an operator is not authorised somewhere, that describes the public register consulted on the date shown. Registers change. LegitVerif does not warrant that every entry reflects the position today, and any characterisation is comment, not a finding of a court.
Acceptable use: prohibited conduct
Use of the Service is subject to the limits below.
| Prohibited activity | Why it is prohibited |
|---|---|
| Submitting a report known to be false, or fabricating evidence in an attachment | False material corrupts the record and exposes LegitVerif and innocent parties to legal risk |
| Filing repeated reports about a competitor for commercial advantage | The Service warns readers; it is not a tool in a commercial dispute |
| Impersonating a person, an operator, a regulator or the editorial team | Impersonation misleads readers and may be a criminal offence |
| Scraping, crawling or bulk copying entries by automated means | It burdens the servers and infringes rights in the compiled material |
| Republishing entries wholesale on another site or in an application | The material is licensed only for personal reading |
| Uploading malware or files designed to execute on the platform | It threatens the Service and the safety of other users |
| Reaching administrative areas or databases without authorisation | Unauthorised access is unlawful in most jurisdictions |
| Sending threats, abuse or harassment through the form or by email | Staff and contributors may work without intimidation |
| Posting private information such as a home address or identity documents | It causes disproportionate harm and breaches data protection law |
| Advertising a product, a service or an investment scheme | The Service carries no advertising and readers are not marketed to |
| Presenting yourself as a representative or agent of LegitVerif | No user has authority to speak for or bind LegitVerif |
| Circumventing rate limits or security filters | Those controls protect availability for every reader |
Acceptable use: permitted activities
The following need no separate permission.
- Reading, printing and saving entries for personal, non commercial use.
- Quoting a short extract with attribution to LegitVerif and a working link to the source page.
- Sharing a link to an entry on social platforms, in forums or by private message.
- Sending an entry to a regulator, police force, bank or legal adviser.
- Submitting an honest account of a personal experience with a named operator.
- Requesting a correction or a right of reply where the user is named or acts for a named entity.
- Writing to contact@legitverif.com with a question about published material or about the Service.
- Subscribing to and unsubscribing from any alerts list at will.
Enforcement
Breaches are dealt with proportionately.
| Behaviour | Likely response |
|---|---|
| Isolated inaccurate submission made in good faith | Correction of the record, no further action |
| Persistent low value or duplicated submissions | Warning by email, then filtering |
| Abusive or threatening messages | Immediate block and, where threats are serious, a report to police |
| Automated scraping | Rate limiting, then a block at network level |
| Wholesale republication of entries | Takedown notice to the host and to search engines indexing the copy |
| Attempted intrusion or malware upload | Logs preserved, block, referral to the relevant authority |
| Coordinated campaign of fabricated reports | Removal of all associated material, permanent block, legal advice taken |
LegitVerif may act without prior notice where delay would cause harm. No user acquires a right to continued access.
Submitting a report and the warranty given
A user who submits a report warrants that the account is true to the best of their knowledge, that any attachment is genuine and unaltered, that they may send it, and that publication would breach no court order or confidentiality obligation.
Submission does not oblige LegitVerif to publish, investigate or reply. Reports may be edited, condensed, anonymised, combined or left unused. Submitting grants a perpetual, worldwide, royalty free licence to use the substance of the report in published entries, anonymised unless asked otherwise in writing.
Corrections and right of reply
Accuracy matters more than speed. Any person or entity named in an entry, or anyone with authority to act for them, may request a correction at contact@legitverif.com.
- Identify the entry by its full address on legitverif.com and quote the passage in dispute.
- State what is wrong and what the correct position is.
- Attach evidence: a licence reference, a register entry, a filing or a court document.
- Expect an acknowledgement within five working days.
- Where the point is well founded, the entry is amended or removed and a dated note records it.
- Where it is not, a short statement from the named party may still be published alongside it.
Nothing in this procedure is an admission, and editorial control over legitverif.com stays with LegitVerif.
No legal or financial advice
Everything published on the Service is general information and comment. It is not legal, financial, tax or investment advice, and not a personal recommendation. No entry takes account of the circumstances, objectives or resources of an individual reader. Reading the Service, or writing to contact@legitverif.com, creates no lawyer and client relationship and no advisory relationship. Users facing a decision with legal or financial consequences should take qualified advice locally.
Independent legal advisers
LegitVerif keeps contact with independent legal advisers and law firms that help people prepare and file reports to regulators, police and other authorities. Where a user asks, an introduction may be arranged on the following footing.
- These practices are separate businesses, not employees, agents, partners or branches of LegitVerif.
- LegitVerif does not supervise, direct or review the professional work they perform.
- Any engagement, retainer or fee arrangement is between the user and that practice alone.
- Users should verify credentials, regulatory registration and fee terms before instructing anyone.
- LegitVerif may receive a fee for the introduction where local professional rules permit.
- No outcome of any kind is promised, predicted or guaranteed.
Intellectual property
The text, images, structure, database and branding of the Service belong to LegitVerif or its licensors and are protected by copyright and related rights. The permitted uses above are the extent of the licence granted. Names, logos and marks of others appearing in entries remain the property of their owners and are used for identification and comment only, implying no endorsement either way. Requests for a wider licence go to contact@legitverif.com.
Liability
The Service is provided as it is and as available. LegitVerif gives no warranty that entries are complete, current or free from error, that access will be uninterrupted, or that files served are free from harmful code. So far as the law allows, LegitVerif and its contributors exclude liability for indirect and consequential loss, for loss of profit, business or data, and for loss arising from reliance on a published entry or from dealings with any operator or adviser mentioned on legitverif.com. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded it is limited to one hundred units of local currency. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Links to other sites
External links are provided as sources or context. LegitVerif does not control those sites, does not endorse them, and accepts no responsibility for their content, security or handling of personal information. Following a link is at the user’s own risk.
Termination, governing law and changes
Access may be suspended or withdrawn at any time, and the Service or any part of it altered or closed. The intellectual property, liability and submission warranty sections survive termination.
These terms are governed by the law where the operator of LegitVerif is established, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection a user enjoys at home. If a clause is held invalid, the rest continues to apply.
Terms are revised as the Service develops. A revision takes effect when published on legitverif.com, and continued use afterwards is acceptance. Review this page from time to time during 2026. Questions go to contact@legitverif.com.
